My Brother

Chris smiling
This is in honor of my little Brother who passed away from childhood cancer at age 17. He was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma at age 15.

He had always enjoyed music and was a rocker even as a little boy, lol.
Chris and his guitarWho knew then how much music would mean to him when he got older?
He became a huge fan of hard rock and heavy metal in his pre-teen years (no thanks to me) and he became passionate about playing the bass guitar. He had an ear for the hardest things to hear in the chaotic sounds of metal. He could pick out the bassline of songs and hum them and sometimes even play them by ear.

Chris also enjoyed getting outdoors and skateboarding, playing football or hockey.
I would go over to my Parents house on the weekends to hang out, throw the football around and see how many times we could tick our dad off by hitting the house or shed with the ball (ah, good times!).

One of my favorite memories with Chris was Ozzfest 2004.
We basically got to hang out in the Jagermeister booth all day long with all the bands playing that day. It was great to see Chris meeting some of his musical idol's and favorite bands.
